Naava Carman - Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine Naava Carman (BA(hons), BSc(hons)), is a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Member of British Acupuncture Council). She founded The Fertility Support Company and is a highly experienced fertility, obstetric and paediatric acupuncturist and herbalist, as well as a Recognised Doula (birthing assistant) with Doula UK. Naava teaches regularly at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and lectures on many subjects, including birth and labour education, to corporate banks, parents networks, and maternity services. Her latest lecture took place at the Royal College of Physicians on the subject of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and Acupuncture, and she trains the Mongan Method® Hypnobirthing teachers in the Birth Basics course which covers what happens to a woman's body during pregnancy and childbirth. She is currently writing a book for practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine on various fertility issues.

She trained in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA) on a five year course which included Western Science as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine. This course includes study of anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology. All the herbs she prescribes are from a British government-approved supplier, and are guaranteed to be free of sulphides, pesticides, and xenoestrogens. The Fertility Support Company comprises a multi-disciplinary team of acupuncturists, nutritionists, hypnobirthing teachers, mind/body specialists, Ob/Gyn doctors, breastfeeding specialists and cranial osteopaths.
